This is an older example that shows how you can use a FileMaker Runtime application to do processing in the background.
Due to the size of the runtime application (33 Mb) we have NOT included the runtime application "Background Runtime 8.app" in this download.
To see this example in action there are several possibilities:
You can run this example in 2 copies of FileMaker on one computer, for example "Foreground.fp7" in FileMaker Pro 7 and "BackProcess8.bgx" in FileMaker Pro 8.
To save on download time, you can bind the file "BackProcess8.bgx" to your own runtime application. Then place it in the folder "BackProcess Runtime 8".
Alternatively you can download "BackProcess Solution 8" from our website, here:
<http://www.troi.com/software/activatordownload.html>
Then put the copy of the "Background Runtime 8.app" or the Windows runtime files in the folder "BackProcess Runtime 8" to run this example.
After you have done this:
See the "Mac OS Plug-in" folder in the download.
