What type of movie does Splice create?
The movie created by Splice contains a one video track, one audio track and optionally all other non-audiovisual tracks from the movies contained in the source project.
The video track is encoded using an H2.64 codec and is a composite of all video tracks from source material. Video tracks are scaled down to fit the selected output size. Video tracks that are smaller than the output size are centered. The audio track is encoded using the AAC codec and is a composite of all audio tracks from the source material.
The user has the option to transfer non-audiovisual tracks from the source material to the final output by clicking the appropriate checkbox on the Save Panel. These tracks are transferred without consolidation.
