The Free Lossless Audio Codec is a popular open source format for audio files, which is free of DRM restrictions and also free as in beer.
To enable Neutrino to play back FLAC files in Core Audio mode, you will need to download and install both the packages below to enable FLAC support on your Mac, then restart Neutrino.
Note: These components have not been extensively tested, however they have been found to work on all the systems we have tested on, PowerPC and Intel, Mac OS X 10.4.11 and above, including Leopard.
Neutrino 1.50 adds support for FLAC playback.
This package installs the Free Lossless Audio Codec Encoder/Decoder Library for Mac OS X.
This is a stand alone installer, provided by Brian Willoughby of Sound Consulting.

This package installs Apple's FLAC Components for Core Audio.
These components require the Free Lossless Audio Codec Encoder/Decoder library to be installed. In conjunction with the FLAC Decoder, these components allow FLAC playback through Core Audio.
