Gluestick has a new, unique feature called an "infinite stage". The stage is the area in which you layout your images in Gluestick. Unlike many other image editing programs, Gluestick's infinite stage does not require you to predefine the size of the area you want to use to layout your images. Instead, Gluestick automatically scales the size of your stage to match the content that you have placed in your composition. The infinite stage follows these general rules:
Gluestick will always maintain a margin around the edges of your composition that is related to the size of your composition. By default, Gluestick will maintain a margin around your composition that is 25% the size of your width and height of the composition. The size of your margin above and below your composition is computed based on the height of your composition, and the size of your margin to the left and right of your composition is based on the width to your composition.
The scroll bars will always let you scroll the area in your document that includes your composition and the margin around it.
If you are currently viewing an area outside of your composition and the margin, Gluestick will allow you to scroll back to the area containing your composition. You can still place new images in areas that are not contained by the bounds of your composition or the margin.
When AutoCropping has been turned off and the cropping bounds are being manually controlled, Gluestick will always let you scroll the entire size of the crop bounds, in addition to anything outside of the crop bounds.
When the area of the stage that is visible is larger than the size of your composition and it's margins, Gluestick will let you work with the entire visible area of the stage.
Gluestick's scrollers behave in such a way that you will always be able to center your view on the content currently on the stage.
